Of White and Black "In Passing"

Gravel flies as my rear tire brushes against the shoulder as I shift from 5th to 6th coming out of a turn in Halifax county on my way to pick up Stacie. Driving way too fast with my music up way too loud, I almost missed this amazing tree, probably the biggest dead tree that I have ever seen. Naturally I said out loud "Woah that's a sexy tree." If you know me personally then you wouldn't find it very shocking that I had referred to a tree as being sexy. Now, back to the story. After passing Stacie's house and; awkwardly making a 3 and a half point turn. I pull in the drive way to pick her up and wham bam we are heading towards that tree. Luckily, she knew the owner so for once I wasn't worried about being caught trespassing. It was hot, with the temperature at 99 degrees, even the breeze was warm. Stacie pushed through it though; I don't know if pushed or suffered is a better word for it, all I know is that we made some amazing images together. Stacie is a wonderful human being and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and getting to know her.

Stacie is the first model to do both black and white dresses. I wasn't quite sure how it was going to work out but surprisingly it went extremely well. I personally favor the white more than the black but as I have told you before white is my absolute favorite color for a woman to wear. However these images are stunning, captivating even so. Of course, a part of that may have to do with the fact that I created them.

The images of Stacie are shot in an old horse barn in Halifax County. You can't see the barn from the road because of weeds grown up all around it; In fact, it took about 10 minutes for us to beat down a path to get to the part I wanted us in. With Stagnant air, ground bees, snake holes, and a cooler breeze than before, this old stall made for a nice dramatic setting and a bittersweet relief to the hot, hott sun shining down. With light pouring through the cracks of the old wide plank walls, I placed Stacie and we made awesome happen. I love how dramatic the images of her turned out especially "Escape" I'm mesmerized by how captivating it is. I hope these images speak to you, that they spark a thought that allows you to mold a story around them in your imagination.

Stacie was beautiful she rocked both colors with flying colors. See what I did there? ;)
